Refuse Room – Rubbish, Recycling and Green Waste
The Refuse Room is located on the ground floor next to the Garage, it is lovingly looked after by the passionate volunteer led Trash Talkers working group. Waste Ninja are the private waste contractors for our building; they pick up bins weekly.
There are a variety of different waste streams with helpful information and simple directions provided on the blackboards. Please do not leave any items outside of the correct bins, tubs or boxes. Hard rubbish costs everyone to remove!
If you notice bins are full, please hold off adding more waste and reach out to the Trash Talkers on the trash-talkers discord channel.
If an item is still usable and in good condition, consider advertising it on the giveaway-items discord channel, listing it on the Hard Rubbish Rescue Merri-bek Facebook page or donating it to the Op shops on Syndey Road.
