Common area maintenance: How to report a broken item and get it fixed

NOTE: If it’s an emergency, follow the emergency guidelines (flooding pipe, security risk etc).

If an item is broken — a tile, a doorhandle, a dead light globe — in one of the common areas, please report it so we can get it fixed.

Two steps:

1. Check the Common Property Maintenance list*. The break might already have been reported.
2. If not on the list, please report it here on the Common Property Maintenance Request form.

• Everyone can see this list — you, the Building Administrator, your OC Committee and The Knight.

What happens to your report

1. Your report goes straight to the Common Property Maintenance list where it is reviewed by our Building Administrator.
2. The Building Administrator has budget discretion on some items.
3. If needed, the Building Administrator will get quotes and approval from the OC Committee.
4. Follow the progress of your request on Common Property Maintenance list.

Remember, in an emergency, please follow the procedure on the emergency page.
